Working with Elev8 as a Vendor
Independent research. Clear rules of engagement. Multiple commercial pathways. No ambiguity about where the lines are.
How Elev8 approaches vendor engagement
Elev8 research — published through Articul8 — is produced without commercial alignment to any vendor. The analysis reflects the evidence. It is not shaped by who sponsors, exhibits, or invests in the category.
That independence is an asset. For enterprise buyers, it is what makes the research trustworthy. For vendors, it is what makes coverage and commercial association with Elev8 worth having.
This page explains how vendors can engage with Elev8 — and how the independence principle is maintained across all engagement types.
Two Clearly Separated Tracks
Independent Research Track
No commercial exchange. Vendor participates. Elev8 remains independent.
The independent research track exists so that Articul8 analysis reflects what is actually being built — not what vendors choose to publish. Vendor participation is welcome. Payment is not accepted and does not influence coverage.
Pathways: — Analyst Briefing — free, 45–60 minutes, no written output — Analyst Day Attendance — free, travel and expenses covered by vendor — Articul8 Coverage — editorially driven, not commissioned
Analyst Briefings are booked via thisischrislong.com
Commercial Engagement Track
Paid. Disclosed. Separate from independent research.
All commercial engagements are explicitly scoped, commercially agreed, and disclosed in relevant Elev8 research and advisory outputs. They do not influence Articul8's independent research coverage of the vendor's category.
Pathways: — Vendor Briefing Session — Analyst Day with Written Synthesis — Articul8 Report Licensing — Vendor-Hosted Keynote — Vendor Advisory
All commercial engagements are initiated via the contact form below.
Commercial engagement pathways
Vendor Briefing Session
A paid, structured 90-minute engagement — distinct from the independent Analyst Briefing. The vendor receives a formal written analyst response: a structured assessment of their positioning, capability claims, market fit, and the questions enterprise buyers are likely to ask.
Analyst Day with Written Synthesis
Elev8 attends a vendor Analyst Day as an independent analyst. Two formats are available: attendance only, where travel and expenses are covered by the vendor and no written output is produced; or attendance with a structured written synthesis document, where key themes, strategic assessment, and decision implications are delivered within five business days.
Articul8 Report Licensing
Articul8 research reports are produced independently — they are not commissioned by vendors and they are not shaped by commercial relationships. Once published, vendors can license the right to distribute them to their own audiences.
Three licence tiers are available: Single Report, Category, and Full Suite.
Vendor-Hosted Keynote
An independent keynote delivered at a vendor-hosted event — priced separately from conference keynotes because it is a fundamentally different commercial exchange. Full editorial control is retained by Chris Long. Content is research-led and audience-serving. The commercial relationship is disclosed in all relevant Elev8 outputs.

How Independence is Maintained
All commercial relationships between Elev8 and vendors are disclosed in relevant research and advisory outputs. Enterprise buyers can always understand the nature of any vendor relationship by reading Elev8 research or receiving Elev8 advisory.
That disclosure is not a caveat. It is a structural commitment — and it is what makes the research worth reading and the commercial association worth having.
Vendors seeking an analyst who will shape the narrative in their favour will find this is not the right research relationship. Vendors who want honest, independent analysis of where their positioning lands with enterprise buyers — and what questions they should be prepared to answer — will find it is exactly the right one.
