Integrity Policy
Elev8 is an independent research and advisory practice that produces objective analysis for workforce and HR technology leaders. Integrity is not a positioning statement — it is an operational standard that governs every research decision, every vendor interaction, and every client engagement. This policy defines the principles that make Elev8's research worth relying on and the boundaries that protect them.
The Three Pillars of Elev8's Integrity
Elev8's research integrity rests on three non-negotiable operating principles. These principles are not aspirational — they are enforced through the policies and practices described throughout this document and the broader policy stack at elev8group.io/policies.
Independence Standards
The following standards apply to all research and advisory activity conducted by Elev8, without exception.
Elev8 will always
- Produce research agenda, analytical conclusions, and published positions under sole editorial control — independent of client, vendor, or commercial influence.
- Apply the same evaluation criteria, methodology, and standards to all vendors included in any given evaluative research programme.
- Disclose the nature of commissioned research engagements — where a client has commissioned a research deliverable for external use — clearly and prominently in the relevant publication.
- Correct material factual errors in published research promptly and transparently via the Corrections log at elev8group.io/corrections.
- Enforce the Evaluation Closed Period — prohibiting advisory engagements with vendor clients included in any active Articul8™ evaluation during the three months prior to and including publication.
Elev8 will never
- Accept payment — in any form — in exchange for a research conclusion, a favourable evaluation outcome, or an editorial position.
- Join the board, advisory panel, or equivalent governing body of any vendor organisation covered by Elev8's research.
- Endorse any vendor's strategy, product, or market claims outside the scope of a formally disclosed, independently produced research deliverable.
- Accept gifts, hospitality, or benefits from vendors beyond reasonable travel or event-related expenses directly connected to an approved research briefing or engagement.
- Allow advisory or consulting engagements to influence the content, conclusions, or positioning of evaluative research — regardless of the commercial relationship involved.
- Provide strategic advice to a vendor client on how to improve their score, position, or inclusion in any Articul8™ evaluation, before, during, or after publication.
Commissioned Research
Elev8 accepts commissions from clients to produce research deliverables, including Thought Leadership Papers, custom market analyses, and advisory reports. Commissioned research is subject to the following integrity requirements.
Commissioned research may
- Address a specific topic, market, or question defined by the commissioning client.
- Be produced for external distribution where this is agreed in advance and the commissioning relationship is disclosed in the published deliverable.
- Draw on Elev8's existing research frameworks, market knowledge, and analytical methodology.
Commissioned research may not
- Name, evaluate, compare, or comment on specific vendors or products — commissioned research for external use must be company-, product-, and brand-agnostic to protect research independence.
- Be positioned as jointly authored, co-branded, or co-produced with the commissioning client in a way that implies shared editorial control.
- Reproduce or adapt Elev8's syndicated evaluative research — including Articul8™ publications — without a separate Reprint licence.
Accountability and Reporting
Elev8 is accountable for the accuracy, fairness, and integrity of everything it publishes. Where a material error is identified — whether internally or reported externally — it will be corrected promptly and logged transparently on the Corrections page. Where an integrity concern is raised — including a concern about undue influence, conflict of interest, or research bias — it will be investigated independently and addressed.
Integrity concerns may be submitted to Elev8 directly at legal@elev8group.io. All submissions are treated in confidence.
Why This Matters
Elev8's value to practitioner buyers — CHROs, CPOs, and the leadership teams who make high-stakes workforce technology decisions — depends entirely on the credibility of its research. That credibility is not claimed. It is built through consistent application of the standards in this policy, enforced through the structural boundaries that separate commercial activity from editorial judgement, and demonstrated through the transparency of the Corrections log. Any action that compromises research independence will be declined, regardless of the commercial terms involved.
